I gave this book a 2 star review because it has an alarming amount of typos and does an ineffective job at describing key terms. Most of the typos are mistakes in describing the figures and tables. Professors: don't assume that your students know all of the vocabulary related to complicated concepts before they get to class, if you assigned them this book.
This book was ordered for a college course my daughter was enrolled in. The book is required for the course and ordering from Amazon as opposed to the campus book store saved us a lot of money. My daughter thought the writing was clear and concise and easy to follow. She was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was for her to stay interested in the subject matter and not have her mind wander because she was bored with what she was reading which is often the case with college text books.
One of the best and most valuable texts for the new political scholar, Political Science Research Methods is truly an indispensable resource. Quantitative and qualitative analysis, sampling, survey methodology, regression analysis, and more are explained clearly with many examples. I got the eBook, but I wish I had the print version. Navigation can be kind of cumbersome.

Exactly what i needed and it shipped quickley
For starters, this book is TERRIBLY BORING. I needed it for class, but I wound up keeping it for when I work on my paper after the class has finished. Some of the topics are redundant and there are too many examples. But for someone that needs a good introduction to all of the terms, it's decent. There is enough here for someone to get a good understanding of the process of writing a paper and all of the statistics behind it. The only problem is that the book could have been written in about half the pages.
Book arrived with a pretty torn up last page. The page is blank so this isn't a huge impediment. Already has multiple instances of highlighting present. Mostly want to be sure these were documented details as they're important relevant to my status as a renter.
